This entrepreneurial drive is built upon a formidable foundation in technology and science. For two decades, Vance was a key consultant at Cray Research and IBM Research, where he specialized in High-Performance Computing (HPC). He taught elite researchers—from PhDs to Professors—how to optimize complex programs to run on massive supercomputer systems, contributing to groundbreaking work in molecular modeling, environmental science, and stellar physics.
